PP Tuning: A Website That Keeps Earning Its Keep

Author: Martin Koss | Founder of inLouth (Louth, Lincolnshire) and 28 Pixels Ltd.

PP Tuning opens in a new tab worked with 28 Pixels to turn a one-off website rebuild into an ongoing content and SEO partnership, covering everything from Volkswagen Transporter remapping to bespoke stainless steel exhaust work. The result: a site that keeps earning visibility in search and AI platforms, backed by real customer reviews rather than traffic graphs.

Many businesses invest in a new website, launch it, then leave it alone for years. PP Tuning took a different approach.

What began as a website rebuild has become an ongoing partnership focused on improving visibility, answering customer questions, showcasing expertise, and helping the business attract the right customers month after month.

The challenge

PP Tuning already had an excellent reputation. Known throughout the UK for Pendle Performance engine remapping, particularly within the Volkswagen Transporter community, the business had built a loyal customer base over many years.

The website wasnโ€™t making the most of that reputation. It needed to perform better, explain services more clearly, support search engines and AI search platforms, and represent the wider expertise of the business, including custom stainless steel exhaust fabrication and other specialist services.

What we did

We rebuilt the site around the questions customers actually ask. It went well beyond a simple redesign. That meant:

  • rebuilding and optimising the website
  • improving performance and usability
  • rewriting and expanding key service pages
  • creating regular blog posts and helpful content
  • improving internal linking throughout the site
  • implementing structured data where appropriate
  • continually refining pages as search behaviour evolves
  • preparing content that works for both traditional search engines and modern AI-powered search tools

The aim was to build a genuinely useful website that demonstrates expertise. Keyword rankings followed from that. They werenโ€™t the starting point.

Expanding beyond one reputation

One challenge was perception. Many people knew PP Tuning purely for Volkswagen remapping. In reality, the business has extensive experience manufacturing bespoke stainless steel exhaust systems for a wide range of vehicles.

Part of the ongoing strategy has been producing detailed content that highlights those capabilities, helping both customers and search engines understand the breadth of work carried out in the workshop.

Content as an ongoing investment

New articles, service pages, FAQs and customer-focused content continue to be added and refined. The site was never treated as finished at launch. That keeps it relevant, gives search engines fresh information to crawl, and gives AI search systems more high-quality material to reference when answering usersโ€™ questions.

The result

Forget traffic graphs. Anyone can make a graph say whatever they want it to say. Hereโ€™s what actually happened, in the words of the man who runs the business.

Jason left this Google review not long after the site went live:

After being let down from two other website companies I was introduced to Martin. Straight away my confidence and assurance was on point with Martin answering all my questions with backed up facts and undoubtedly the best knowledge to date. So I was happy to hand everything over to Martin to transfer my website into the professional site it is now. I was also quoted happy without any silly unannounced additions either. Happy ๐Ÿ˜ƒ happy happy customer.

If that sounds like the kind of thing a copywriter would invent, it isnโ€™t. Phone him and ask.

Most businesses treat a website as a one-off expense. PP Tuning treats theirs as a business asset, and keeps improving it as the business grows.

Ongoing partnership

My work with PP Tuning continues today, well beyond the siteโ€™s launch. I monitor, improve and expand it through ongoing optimisation, content creation and technical improvements.

Jason put it better than I could, in a public post on Facebook:

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Martin for all the work he does on the PP Tuning website. Any time I need something changing, whether its product descriptions, prices, postage costs, adding new products or making changes to existing ones, heโ€™s straight on it.

No waiting around for weeks, no chasing people up, its usually done within 24 hours and I get an email back with a link so I can check everything is how I wanted it. What I really like is he doesnโ€™t just do exactly what I ask. Quite often heโ€™ll make suggestions or improvements and ask what I think.

As a business owner you look at your own website every day and sometimes donโ€™t see things from a customers point of view. Having somebody that does is a massive help. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. Whether its a small change or something more involved, it gets sorted quickly and properly. Thatโ€™s getting harder and harder to find these days.

Running a small business is hard enough without having to keep chasing people, so its nice to have somebody reliable that just gets on with it and gets the job done. So thanks Martin, your help and support over the years is really appreciated and I honestly couldnโ€™t ask for better service.

Search changes. Customer behaviour changes. AI search changes. A website that keeps improving stands a much better chance of remaining visible than one thatโ€™s left untouched for years.

What Website Visitors and Search Engines Actually Want to Know

Why did PP Tuning rebuild its website instead of just redesigning it?

The old site wasnโ€™t reflecting the businessโ€™s full reputation or range of services. Rather than a simple visual refresh, the rebuild focused on the actual questions customers ask, covering engine remapping, exhaust fabrication and everything in between.

Does PP Tuning only do Volkswagen Transporter remapping?

No. While the business is well known for Pendle Performance remaps on VW Transporters, it also has extensive experience manufacturing bespoke stainless steel exhaust systems for a wide range of vehicles.

How does ongoing content help a business website perform better?

Regularly adding and refining service pages, blog posts and FAQs keeps a site relevant to search engines and gives AI search platforms fresh, high quality material to reference when answering user queries.

What kind of results has PP Tuning seen from the website work?

The business has seen genuine improvements in traffic and sales since the rebuild. Rather than share unverifiable graphs, the results speak through real customer reviews from the owner himself.

Is website work a one-off job or an ongoing service?

For PP Tuning, itโ€™s ongoing. The partnership continues well past launch, with regular monitoring, content creation and technical improvements as search behaviour and customer needs change.
