Websites for businesses in and around Louth

I build new websites and improve tired ones for local businesses in Louth and across Lincolnshire. Every site is fast, written to answer what your customers want to know, and set up so Google, Google Maps and AI tools like ChatGPT can find you. You own it, I host and look after it, and you deal with me from start to finish.
Where are you starting from?
No website yet, or only a Facebook page?
The Starter Website Package gets you online properly without the cost or complexity of a big project. Up to 10 well-structured pages, written for you from the information you provide, mobile-friendly, with the search basics in place.
A website that looks tired or doesn’t bring in work?
It may not need replacing. Often a round of optimisation (faster pages, clearer wording, better structure) does the job for far less. If it does need rebuilding, I’ll rebuild it without throwing away the search visibility you already have.
Not sure which?
A website audit tells you, for £295 + VAT, before you spend money on either.
What every website I build includes
- Pages that answer real questions. What you do, where, what it costs, how to book. Written for you, in your voice.
- Speed. Lightweight builds without page-builder bloat or plugins nobody uses.
- Found on Google and AI. Clean headings, meta titles and descriptions, schema markup with your business details, a sitemap, and Google Search Console and Bing set up.
- Enquiries made easy. Tap-to-call numbers, short contact forms and clear calls to action.
- Mobile first. Most of your visitors are on a phone, so that’s where I start.
- UK hosting, email, backups and security, with one person to call if anything goes wrong.
Websites can be built with WordPress, so you can update it yourself if you want to, or hand-built (completely custom) for sites that need something lighter or with a specific or custom feature set.
Recent work
The Black Horse Inn, Donington on Bain. A one-page website trying to do everything. I rebuilt it as a full site covering food, rooms, events and the Wolds, so customers, Google and AI tools can find answers about the pub. See the rebuild.
“I’m very pleased to say that my site is now up there, functional AND beautiful too.”
Heidi, Equine Facilitated Learning, after another developer left her site broken
“Truly a fabulous experience having my website built.”
Amber, Crystal Harmony
inLouth.co.uk, the community hub and business directory for Louth, is my own build from scratch: fast, plain code, no bloat. More client reviews.
How a website project works
- We talk. What the business does, who your customers are, and what the site needs to do.
- I quote a fixed price. Scope, timescale and cost agreed in writing before anything starts. Websites start from £1,000 + VAT. The pricing guide lists everything else, with no hidden extras.
- I build it. You send the facts and photos, I write and build. A typical project takes 4 to 6 weeks.
- It goes live and stays looked after. UK hosting from £150 a year + VAT, with maintenance and content available if you want them.
Local, and owner-led
I’m Martin Koss, I’m based in Louth, and I’ve been building websites since 1994. I work with businesses across Louth, the Lincolnshire Wolds, Horncastle, Market Rasen, Alford, Mablethorpe and Grimsby, as well as clients further afield. I also run inLouth opens in a new tab, so I spend a lot of time looking at how local businesses appear online.
You won’t be passed to a junior designer or a freelancer you’ve never met.
Questions about websites
How much does a website cost?
A full website starts from £1,000 + VAT. The Starter Website Package for new businesses is quoted to the job. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
Can you improve my website instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. Faster pages, clearer wording and better structure can make a tired site work again for far less than a rebuild. An audit will tell you which makes sense.
Will I lose my Google rankings if you rebuild my site?
Not if it’s done properly. I keep the pages that matter, redirect any addresses that change, and check everything is indexed after launch.
Do I need to write the content myself?
No. You give me the facts about your business and I write the pages in your voice. You check everything before it goes live.
Will I own my website?
Yes. Your domain is registered in your name, and the content is yours once the project is paid for. I host the site on UK servers so I can keep it fast, secure and backed up.
