I’ve scrapped everything. Every blog post, article, guide – all gone. Why? Because I’m done with out-of-date information clogging up the internet. I can’t make a big difference but I can make a difference with my own content and that’s what matters to me right now.
Have you ever Googled something and found advice from a decade ago, telling you to stuff your homepage with keywords like it’s 2008? Same. I won’t contribute to that anymore. I did. But not any more.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer ‘Something On The Horizon’ – It’s Here
The world has shifted. ChatGPT (if you haven’t heard of it where have you been?) has exploded onto the scene and stole a lot of the headlines lately. But let’s not pretend it’s a lone wolf. Other AI tools have been bubbling up for a while now, quietly transforming how we work and create. They’re making images from scratch, drafting essays, writing code.
It’s like the future kicked down the door and invited itself in.
That’s why I’ve hit the reset button. Everything I’ve written before? It served its purpose, but in 2023, it’s like hanging on to a VHS player while staring at a pile of DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. AI is changing the game. Not just how we create content, but how people find it. It is now possible to skip Google and ask ChatGPT a question and get instant answers.
The old tricks – keywords, SEO titles, obsessing over structure – they’re still part of the mix but no longer the whole recipe.
Where This All Came From
Here’s what’s been rattling around in my brain. Tools like ChatGPT are built on a mountain of information we’ve all created. Blogs, books, research papers – it’s all been scooped up, indexed, and spun into something new. Amazing? Yes. But it raises big questions.
If AI can do this now, what’s next? Could it replace search engines? It already gives quick answers but will it eventually offer real-time, up-to-date information without us having to trawl through outdated blog posts and web pages?
That could be revolutionary. Imagine a world where finding accurate, timely information isn’t a chore. Thrilling stuff, but also a bit terrifying, isn’t it?
Resetting the Blog
So, what’s the plan? I’m starting over. Clean slate. My blog looks empty, and I’m fine with that. I’d rather rebuild from scratch than hold onto outdated nonsense. My goal is clear: to create content that’s relevant, practical, and informed by what’s happening now.
This isn’t just about writing for the sake of it. I’m diving deep into AI – researching, testing, experimenting. If I want to be a reliable source of knowledge, I’ve got to do the legwork. And let’s be honest, AI is a beast that needs to be understood cautiously. It could revolutionise everything, or it could go off the rails.
Why did I delete my old blog posts?
I deleted them because they were becoming outdated. The internet is already packed with old advice that no longer applies, and I didn’t want to add to the noise. Starting fresh lets me focus on creating content that’s relevant and forward-thinking in 2023.
What’s so special about AI in 2023?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) isn’t just evolving – it’s here and it is exploding. Tools like ChatGPT and image generators are pushing boundaries, changing how we create, find answers and interact with information.
It’s an exciting time, but it’s also a bit unsettling.
Am I saying Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is dead?
Not at all. SEO still matters, but it’s not the only game in town anymore. AI is reshaping how content is created and discovered. The rules are shifting, and staying relevant means adapting to those changes. Those who already adapted, who optimised their content perfectly, are already enjoying seeing their words appearing as answers in ChatGPT chats.
What kind of content will I post moving forward?
I’ll be focusing on practical, up-to-date insights, especially around AI and how it is influencing business, creativity, and discovery. Everything I write will reflect what’s happening now – not what was true five or ten years ago.
Can AI really replace search engines?
It’s a possibility, but not yet. I have some theories. Tools like ChatGPT are incredibly powerful, but they still rely on existing information to generate answers. However, the way they offer information could change how we search and find content in the future.
Should we trust AI tools?
Cautiously. AI can be amazing, but like any tool, it depends on how it’s used. Ethical considerations are key, and history shows us that technology often gets misused. That’s why I’m diving into AI carefully and thoughtfully.
What’s next for the 28 Pixels blog?
This is the start of a new chapter. I’m learning, experimenting, and sharing what I find. Expect posts that explore AI, its impact, and practical ways to use it. There’s a lot to come.
Watch This Space
2023 is going to be big. AI is already shaking things up, and we’re only at the start. I’ve got theories, questions, and maybe a few answers (give me time). This space? It’s where I’ll unpack all of it. If you’re curious about where AI is taking us, stick around.
Here’s to a new chapter. Let’s see where it leads.
